Description: Examine molecular basis of cellular processes: gene structure and function, DNA replication, RNA and protein synthesis, viruses, molecular aspects of immunology and cancer, and recombinant DNA. Three lecture hours and one discussion hour a week for one semester. Biology 344 and Molecular Biosciences 344 may not both be counted. Prerequisite: Biology 325 or 325H , and Biochemistry 369 or 339F with a grade of at least a C-.
