Description: Explore embedded systems; machine language execution; assembly and C language programming; local variables and subroutines; input/output synchronization; analog to digital conversion and digital to analog conversion; debugging; and interrupts. Three lecture hours and one laboratory hour a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Electrical and Computer Engineering 319K , 319H , Electrical Engineering 319K , 319H . Prerequisite: Biomedical Engineering 306 , Electrical and Computer Engineering 306 (or Electrical Engineering 306 ), 306H (or Electrical Engineering 306H ), or Mechanical Engineering 340 and 140L with a grade of at least C-.
