Description: Wide reading in current theory and practice of teaching writing in schools and colleges. Careful attention to various models of classroom writing instruction and to different approaches in the individual conference. Students in this course may observe instruction in the UC San Diego college writing programs or tutor first-year students in those programs. Restricted to major/minor code LT34 during first pass of registration. All other students may register during second pass of registration with the approval of the department.
